A special festival highlight is Ö1 Klassik-Treffpunkt, which broadcasts live in front of an audience on 7 October from 10:05. Elke Tschaikner’s guests include some of the festival’s artists, such as Karl-Heinz Schütz, principal flutist of the Vienna Philharmonic, who is making a guest appearance at musikprotokoll this year with the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra (RSO Wien). Ö1 Klassik-Treffpunkt offers the opportunity to look behind the scenes of the festival and gain very personal insights into the musicians’ lives and work.
From the beginning, ORF musikprotokoll was conceived as a media festival whose largest “venue” is radio. The concerts of the festival’s fifty-sixth edition can be experienced and listened to on more than thirty music programs on Ö1. Listeners throughout Austria and beyond can experience musikprotokoll 2023 especially in the Zeit-Ton series.
