Markus Sworcik and René Stiegler conceive of their work in the Hilmteich area as a wandering sculpture. Visitors are invited to explore the neighborhood of Mariagrün on an interactive tour and search for the presence of the paranormal beings haunting the area. An app provides hints to elements of reality that may or may not be works of art or traces of a monster shedding its skin while making its way to the nearby Demon Radio exhibition venue.
René Stiegler (1991, Graz) is an artist primarily working in sculpture and installation. He studies at the Academy of Fine Arts, Munich. His work has been included in group exhibitions at Neue Galerie Graz, GoldbergGalerie, Munich, and Keil Galerie, Graz, among others. Stiegler lives in Munich and Leibnitz.
Markus Sworcik (1977, Graz) is an artist, art director, and musician. He uses different media to create large-scale sculptures and installations. He has participated in group exhibitions at Keil Galerie, Graz; < rotor > Centre for Contemporary Art, Graz; Halle für Kunst Steiermark, Graz; Schaumbad – Freies Atelierhaus Graz; and Musée du quai Branly, Paris, among others. He lives in Graz.
